Battery Act

Notice pursuant to the Battery Act (BattG)

Under the Battery Act (BattG), we are required to inform you, as a consumer, about the proper handling of batteries and rechargeable batteries.

1. Collection of Used Batteries

You are legally required not to dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries with regular household trash. As a consumer, you can return used batteries to us by mailing them to us or dropping them off at public collection points in your area. We accept all used batteries that we currently carry or have carried in our product range.

2. Battery Labeling

All batteries and rechargeable batteries you purchase from us are marked with the crossed-out trash can symbol. This symbol indicates that batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household trash.

3. Information on Hazardous Substances

Some batteries contain hazardous substances that can be dangerous to the environment and human health. That is why you will find the following additional explanation under the trash can symbol:

  • Pb: Batteries contain lead
  • Cd: Batteries contain cadmium
  • Ed.: Batteries contain mercury

Please dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries responsibly to protect the environment.

4. Disposal and Return

You can return used batteries and rechargeable batteries to us or to a local collection point. You can also return them to us by mailing the used batteries to the following address:
