The Carp-Sounder CSF1 bite alarm was a significant milestone in the history of carp fishing technology and was the first Carp-Sounder to feature a built-in radio transmitter. With its introduction in the mid-2000s, it revolutionized carp fishing by enabling a completely new form of communication between bite indicators and the receiver unit. The CSF1 allowed anglers to monitor multiple rods simultaneously without having to stand right next to the equipment, which was a significant advantage, especially when fishing at greater distances or at night.
The integration of the radio transmitter into the CSF1 was a significant step toward a connected fishing system. The bite indicator transmitted bite signals wirelessly to a receiver unit, so that the angler was kept informed at all times without having to rely on visual or audible signals in the immediate vicinity. This technology not only contributed to greater convenience but also to more precise monitoring of the fishing spot.
The CSF1 bite alarm thus set new standards in bite alarm technology and paved the way for the development of further networked systems that made carp fishing even more efficient and convenient. With its groundbreaking integration of wireless technology, the CSF1 remains a milestone in the history of Carp Sounder products and in carp fishing in general.

Product Description:
- “Double Run Control”:
The CSF1 radio system features an innovation that ensures reliable radio transmission at all times, even when multiple CSF1 bite indicators are triggered simultaneously. The CSF1 receiver pauses its tone at short intervals to check for signals from the transmitters. This prevents the CSF1 bite indicators from interfering with each other during radio transmission. This feature prevents the fish or rods from being lost unnoticed in the event of a double run. - Battery-Saving Mode on the CSF1 Receiver:
To maximize battery life, the receiver is equipped with a permanent power-saving mode. Ensuring long-term, trouble-free use of the CSF1 system was a key priority during development. The tone sequence from the CSF1 bite indicator is slightly modified by the receiver before being transmitted, as reliable and power-efficient transmission must always be the top priority. - “First Run Control”:
The first action on each CSF1 bite indicator is displayed on the receiver via a flashing LED. This feature allows the angler to see on the receiver which CSF1 bite indicator registered the first action. In the event of multiple bites, the first bite indicator can be identified. During violent runs where the fish triggers the other bite indicators as well, the rod with the fish is detected.
