The first generation of the Carp-Sounder XRS receiver, which was launched in the late 2000s, represented a further development of existing technologies. The introduction of this device brought together several innovations in a single unit.
Radio Reception and Multi-Channel Transmission: The XRS receiver made it possible to monitor multiple bite indicators simultaneously. This multi-channel feature was particularly useful for anglers who were using multiple rods and wanted to be able to access all signals at any time.
Reliability and Durability: The XRS receiver was designed for use in extreme conditions. Thanks to its waterproof housing and rugged construction, the receiver was suitable for use in the rain as well as in more demanding environments, such as night fishing.
Vibration Alarms and Visual Signals: The XRS Receiver combined audible alarms with vibrations and visual signals. This feature helped anglers react quickly, even when they were not right next to their rods.
The first generation of the XRS receiver was replaced in 2017 by the new XRS ACC receiver, which features a longer range, significantly extended battery life, and many additional functions.
